It is vital for North Carolina to work closely with both business and labor to develop comprehensive polices to move our state forward and grow our economy. Working with small businesses, and our major industries such as Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Truck and Heavy equipment, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Life Science, Energy, Information and Communications Technology, and our workers, we must remain focused on policies that will strengthened our economy. Presently, we have too many young people and older workers who cannot find a job because they do not have the education or necessary job skills needed to participate in the work force.
We need to help create more job opportunities and ensure workers have access to education and training they need to be successful. We must seek collaborative methods with businesses and educational institutions to assist our workforce in being prepared to compete on a global stage.
